Hi there, Mona! You really are about to embark on a journey to the best of both worlds. This sounds like so much fun.
Disney Cruise Line does have ground transportation that will take you from your Walt Disney World resort hotel, including your
Disney Vacation Club resort. The transportation works very similarly to Disney's Magical Express, with the exception being that there is a charge to go from your hotel to Port Canaveral. You'll have the same comfortable seats, air conditioned shuttles, and video entertainment on the way.
If you book
Disney's ground transportation, you will get information delivered to your resort room the night before your departure that outlines the details of your transportation. They will give you a time for the next morning and a location where to meet. I will say that you probably won't have the information at your stateroom much before 6 or 7 PM the evening before your sailing.
Luggage is usually collected in the morning by about 8 AM, and they're pretty prompt with that. You'll want to make sure to have everything packed the night before, but keep a carry on bag with the essentials you'll need for the earlier part of the day. You may not see your luggage again until later in the afternoon or early evening on the day you set sail.
As far as when your shuttle will leave, it will vary. The note you get will tell you where to be and at what time. I have never been on Disney Cruise Line transportation that has left earlier than 10-ish in the morning. Most of my shuttles have been closer to 11.
Happy sailing!
Anna
