Hey Micaela,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’re here with such a great question about your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. From one picky eater’s mom to another, I can tell you that I know exactly how hard it is to feed them while on vacation. Don’t let your little Mouseketeer’s picky palate discourage you. You’ll find at least a few options that will work.
Special diets are accommodated in an excellent way at all Disney Parks. Just let any server know about your restrictions. We’re going to “Dig a Little Deeper,” though; check out these lists of plant-based menu items at
Hollywood Studios and
Animal Kingdom. In addition to the lists, I'd also suggest that you take a little time to
review the menus for the restaurants and quick-service options at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom in advance via your
My Disney Experience app or the Disney World website. If you find that there isn’t enough time for that kind of side quest right before a vacation (been there!), just look for the leaf icon on the menu at any dining location you want to try while you're in the parks. The leaf symbol signifies that a dish is plant-based. Looking in the app in advance will help you quickly identify the ingredients, but you can always ask cast members at your dining location about vegan-friendly options.
As for strollers, you can bring your own. If your kiddo is a little on the older side and able to commute from your resort to the parks without it you can also consider
renting a stroller in the theme parks. Rentals are available on a daily or multi-day basis. If your kiddo is a tiny tot, remember that you can access the
Baby Care Centers in all 4 theme parks. Baby Care Centers offer an indoor, air conditioned space for you to take a break with your littles for potty breaks, feedings and everything in between. There’s also a few mom & little one-approved staples available for purchase just in case you forgot something (also been there). As for play areas, if you'll be at Hollywood Studios on or after May 26, consider planning to visit the whimsical new playground Drawn to Wonderland inside the brand new family experience
The Magic of Disney Animation. In Animal Kingdom, plan to pay a visit to the amazing Heeler sisters from Bluey at Conservation Station for
Bluey’s Wild World - a new interactive experience where guests will meet Bluey and Bingo and get to see a few animals native to their home in Australia. You’re choosing a great time to visit, Micaela. You’re already a pro.
I hope this information is helpful. If you need any additional help with planning, feel free to come back and
ask me anytime or any of my friends here at planDisney. We’re all happy to help! TTFN… ta-ta for now!
