Hi- We are going next week to Disney and are staying on Premises- but no dining plan. My daughter is 11 but very finicky - so she only orders from the kids meal. We should be able to still do that correct? What about at the buffets? Thanks.

    Hi Rashmi,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for sending us your question.

I understand all about having a finicky eater in the family. We have one of those too! Yes, your daughter may certainly order exclusively off the Kids' Menus. That being said, I will share that my picky eater has at least tried a few non-preferred food items for the first time at Disney restaurants. It must have something to do with all the magical pixie-dust flying around the Walt Disney World Resort.

When paying for your family's meals out-of-pocket, you'll find that there is a great deal of flexibility; and even adults can easily order from the Kids' Menus. In fact, when a Guest is 10 years or older, you'll find most Cast Members will bring out larger portions of kid friendly entrées to the table. There's just one caveat, if you visit any of the Disney Character Dining locations, buffets, or other comparable prix fixe meal restaurants; your 11 year old daughter will be charged the full adult meal price.

I hope you found this information helpful, Rashmi. Please come back to visit us again soon. We'll be more than happy to answer all your Disney vacation planning questions.

Wishing you a most memorable visit to the place where The Magic is Endless!
