Hair wrapping is a fun way to commemorate your vacation, and it often lasts for weeks! There is typically an assortment of thread colors to choose from, as well as beads or charms for an extra fun look. This service has been offered at several Walt Disney World Resort pools, as well as the water parks, over the years. These kiosks are operated by a third-party vendor, and specific schedules are typically released only a few weeks in advance, so you'll need to check back closer to your trip.
On my most recent visit to Walt Disney World, I saw a hair wrapping kiosk at Disney's Art of Animation Resort by
The Big Blue Pool, as well as at Disney's Pop Century Resort next to the
Hippy Dippy Pool. It has historically occurred at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney's Polynesian Resort, among others. It is often available at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park near
Singapore's Sal's Gift Shop. Hours tend to be around 10am-5pm, daily, but these can vary. My advice is to check with the front desk at your resort when you arrive. They should be able to access the most up-to-date information on where you will be able to find hair wrapping during your stay.
August can be a great time to visit. Crowds tend to lessen, and even though it is still summertime, dates for
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party usually begin in late August! One of the best parts is that guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel will enjoy
free water park admission on check-in day, so I hope you will take advantage of that!
