Next visit we're doing DDP and will use Magicbands for the first time. When ordering counter service meals, do we all need to be at the counter to have each Magicband swiped, or can one person in the party have his/her band swiped for all meals at once?

Hello Theresa!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with you question.  I think you will really enjoy using the Disney Dining Plan, I am a big fan and have been using it for quite some time now. It really does save my family money and it's so convenient having meals paid for ahead of time.

All of your Disney Dining Plan credits are more or less grouped together in a large pool for the room. When you are ordering and paying for quick service meals, only one person from your party needs to go to the counter and have their band scanned.  If you are vacationing with other people who are in a different room, they will need to have their own band scanned or that would pull from your credits which you don't want.

I hope this helps!  If you have any other questions, please come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
