For our next trip to WDW we will not be staying on property. Both Once upon a Time and Happily Ever After will only be showing 1 night of our stay and they happen to be scheduled after park close - there are extra magic hours. Are we still able to watch?

    Hello Julie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney’s Happily Ever After Fireworks Spectacular is truly a magical show, and certainly not to be missed.

Often, Happily Ever After is shown at the same time the park closes. So it is not uncommon to see the park hours listed as 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and see Happily Ever After scheduled at 9:00 pm. Theme Park closing time means that the queues for attractions are closed at that time, and no one new can jump into the queue, but the park is still open to watch the show, and the shops on Main Street, U.S.A. are open an additional hour for shoppers.

When I looked ahead at park hours over the next few months, I did see a few occasions were regular park hours ended at 9:00 pm, with Happily Ever After scheduled at that time, and with Extra Magic Hours extended until 11:00 pm or 12:00 am. You would still be welcome to stay and enjoy the show, and shop on Main Street, U.S.A. However, during Extra Magic Hours you would not be able to enter an attraction queue if you were not a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guest. Cast Members will check MagicBands and Theme Park Ticket Cards on all Guests before they can enter a queue during Extra Magic Hours. And if you'd like to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, it never hurts to check Disney's Special Offers Page in case a discount or deal is available during your dates!

I hope this answers your question, and you can rest assured that you’ll be able to enjoy Happily Ever After on your upcoming visit!
