    This next trip we have two reservations, my parents and I. We did online check-in, but my parents cannot because tech support says you can only one check-in for MDE. Since we are managing their reservation, they are unable to skip the front desk. Any fix?

    Hi Thomas!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family met my parents at Walt Disney World Resort in March where we also had two reservations. Not only do I have recent experience of your exact situation, I have a solution too.

    My Disney Experience is an awesome vacation planning tool, and as you've seen you can manage and plan everything from dining to FastPass+ selections for everyone in your party from this portal. However, when multiple reservations are involved, there are a few security-sensitive details for each guest room that the other does not have access to. An example would be you can pay for their meals with your dining credits, but you cannot charge your snack to their account. You also cannot access their guest room on your own because you are not listed as a guest in their resort hotel reservation.

    For our trip, I had my mom make her own My Disney Experience account that I still managed. To create an account now while keeping all of your currently made plans and selections, log in to your MDE account and select one parent from your 'Family and Friends' list. Click the word 'Update' all the way to the right of that parents name. A blue box will pop up, and in its upper right corner click 'Invite to Connect.' You'll enter their email address which will instruct them to create their own My Disney Experience profile. Once the new account is created, you can still manage all of the plans, however this will give them the ability to check in online, as well as utilize Mobile Ordering to charge their credit card or allotment of Disney Dining Plan entitlements. We even went so far as to connect their account to my husbands phone so they didn't have to worry about messing with the app during our visit.
