Oh, I can totally relate to WDW withdrawal. It's such a bummer returning to reality after a stay at Mickey's House.
Here's what our family does:
-we set up our DVR to record any WDW shows on the travel channel, etc.
-visit the local Disney Store to look for bargains and feel a little magic
-watch our family videos from previous trips
-make slide shows of our photos and watch them on our TV. Set them to WDW music, of course.
-listen to WDW music in our car, while swimming in our pool, while cooking dinner.
-watch the Disney channel with our son for family TV time.
-play games such as Disney DVD Trivia and Magic Kingdom board game
-scrapbook
-plan our next trip by reading books, discussing plans over dinner, reading online forums, etc.
-listen to WDW podcasts
-tune in to Radio Disney
-read books about Walt Disney
- look for local events such as Magic Meets held annually in Camp Hill, PA or Walt Disney's Backyard Railroad which is being presented by Michael Broggie. We attended in Lancaster, PA.
-start a local fan group. See Fred Blokh's MagicMeets Fan Gathering for inspiration. It started small and now hosts over 550 people! See
www.magicmeets.com-help friends plan their trips.
-print out menus and decide where you will eat in WDW.
Have friends over for a Disney party. This year we are having a pirate themed pool party.
