The next trip is the first one where my girl is of 'adult' age for the dining plan, but her palate sometimes still leans towards chicken nuggets. Will we be able to get her the kids meal at times and just pay to save the dining credit?

    Hi Tracy!

As the mother of three picky eaters, two of them also considered "adult age", I totally understand your question. I can say that we probably order chicken nuggets every time as well. You can definitely pay your daughter's meal out of pocket.  When you use the dining plan, be sure to let your server know beforehand that you are on the dining plan and you would like to pay for your daughter's meal. At the end of your meal, they will scan your MagicBand for the total of the dining credits being used for the dining party and they should bring you the check for your daughter's meal as well as the gratuity (which is not covered by the dining plan). Since you may have extra credits available, you may want to look at restaurants that would charge you two credits. Some of my favorites are: Le Cellier Steakhouse, Yachtmans Steakhouse and California Grill
