Hi Cindy,
I love the backstage tours! I've done both the
Backstage Magic (BSM) & the
Keys to the Kingdom (KTTK) tours a couple of times. If time & cost aren't factors to you, I'd vote for BSM.
KTTK Tour takes place in the Magic Kingdom (MK) & focuses more on the birth of the theme parks & all of the details that goes into creating the "show" for guests. We went on a couple of attractions. A trip to the legendary utilidors is also included. We each received a super cool pin as a souvenEAR. Click
here for more info. You'll walk away with a greater appreciation for the MK & never look at it the same again.
The BSM Tour focuses more on how the Cast Members (CMs) work together to bring all the magic together. It lasts approximately 7-hours & covers a lot of ground. You get to go backstage at all 4 of the theme parks & see some super cool things including where they make costumes for the performers. I loved visiting areas like Central Shops where they make lots of things including parade floats. We got a close demonstration of the audio animatronics. You also get to visit the utilidors in the MK. For a Disney fanatic like me, just watching all the CMs getting ready to appear "on stage" is super exciting. Keep in mind that all the glitz is "on-stage", the backstage areas is where all the prep work happens.
You can't go wrong by taking either of these tours but BSM gets my vote. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
