Hi Alayna, welcome to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort is a great place to experience the magic of Disney storytelling in ride form. From soaring high on Dumbo the Flying Elephant to racing around the kitchen in Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and blasting off into space on Space Mountain, there's a wide range of thrills to be had. Everyone has their own thrill level comfort zone and it's important to make sure each person in your 'Ohana makes their own choice about experiencing the attractions throughout the theme parks.
If you and your daughter feel comfortable, she is welcome to wait for you while you experience an attraction that does not fall in her comfort zone. I thoroughly enjoy my time waiting on a bench, snack in hand, while my family rides Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. It's fun to people watch and rest my legs for a bit. If waiting alone is not in your family's comfort zone, though, there is another option!
Disney Rider Switch Service ensures no one misses an attraction, even if an individual in your party does not wish to ride. To use this service, start by checking in with a Cast Member at the attraction's entrance. Make sure everyone in your party is present. The Cast Member will scan the MagicBand/admission card/MagicMobile pass of the person waiting with the non-riding member of your party. During my October visit, one additional member of my party was also able to scan for a Rider Switch entitlement. After the first group experiences the attraction, those with the Rider Switch entitlement will scan into the Lightning Lane entrance of the attraction, ensuring a shorter wait time. A list of attractions that offer this service can be found at the bottom of the
webpage. This service is available for all Guests - in the past, I've used it so my grandmother didn't have to wait alone.
'Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. Together is my family's favorite place to be and I hope your family experiences the magic of togetherness during your upcoming vacation. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
