Hi Theresa!
Hooray! How exciting to be visiting The Most Magical Place On Earth with your family! And you get to experience a first timer's trip? Double hooray! Seeing Walt Disney World through a child's eyes always makes me a little sappy.
I am unsure of your nephew's ages, but I usually recommend a character dining buffet for a large group to satisfy different taste buds with a variety and then characters to entertain young children. I'd definitely recommend Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at
1900 Park Fare! Their strawberry soup is refreshing and heavenly. Why yes, I did say strawberry soup. Dining there makes me feel like I'm in the middle of a fairy tale. The character interaction includes everyone and while I love Cinderella and Prince Charming, I can't help but cheer for the hysterical Anastasia and Drizella. Warning: they're so funny, strawberry soup may come out of your nose. And those wicked stepsisters can make any boy or grown man blush.
If a character meal is not what you had in mind, another personal favorite is '
Ohana. 'Ohana means family and that's what I'm all about. Throw in Disney's Polynesian Resort (one of my favorites), LOTS of meat (sorry herbivores), delicious bread pudding, and you've got a winner! An 'Ohana dinner is a must-do for my family every trip! I'm baffled why it isn't on Stacey Aswad's list yet. This non-character meal keeps the whole family entertained with coconut races, dancing, and a constant supply of food to our table (crucial for little ones).
I hope this helps! If I can help you plan anything else, please feel free and stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. I wish your nephews the most fantastical first trip ever!
Happy planning!
Tania
