Going next summer for the first time using the DVC as a UK member can anyone please help, looking at Beach Club or splitting Beach Club and Jambo Animal Kingdom. Can't wait to hear your answer Thanks

    Hi Helen,

You are considering two of my favorite DVC properties at Disney!  I would recommend splitting your trip so that you can see and experience both resorts, which are both fantastic, but also incredibly different.  The Beach Club has an outstanding location, within walking distance (or short boat ride) from both Epcot and Hollywood Studios.  In addition, it's location near the BoardWalk, which enables you to stroll over to a variety of fantastic restaurants and nighttime entertainment options in the evening.  The main pool at the Beach Club, Stormalong Bay is, according to many, the absolute best on property.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is another great vacation destination.  Being able to stare out from your resort balcony onto a savanna filled with exotic African animals is incredible.  I have so many wonderful pictures of my children in their PJs looking out at giraffes and zebras in awe!  Animal Kingdom is also home to some of my favorite Disney restaurants, including Jiko, Boma and Sanaa (which is located at Kidani Village right next door.)  The lobby at Jambo House is impressive, and features a floor-to-ceiling window that enables you to stare out at the animals as soon as you enter.  The pool at Jambo House is themed after an African watering hole, features a zero-entry and a wonderful slide.

Disney makes moving between resorts very convenient for guests.  It is very common for guests to switch properties mid-stay.  Bell Services can arrange to move your bags from one property to another, which will allow you to head to the parks on the day that you check out from one resort and into another.

    Have a magical trip!
