Next November we are going to use the Cabins a Ft Wilderness. We will have a car. Is there any advantages to renting a golf cart if you have a car? (places a golf cart can go/park that a car can't)

Yes, yes and yes, Teresa!  My family had the opportunity to stay at the Fort Wilderness cabins a few years ago.  We, too, had use of a private vehicle while we were staying there.  Still, we opted to rent a golf cart and we're so glad we did!  While you will be permitted to drive your private vehicle to the door of your cabin, you won't be able to drive around within the resort.  You can certainly come and go to drive to theme parks and other destinations, but you can't drive your car to Pioneer Hall, for example.  There are a ton of recreational opportunities to be had within Fort Wilderness, and the locations for those are scattered around the resort.  If you plan to spend any significant time in and around Fort Wilderness, it is definitely a good idea to rent a golf cart.  During our vacation, we zipped all around the resort--to the pool, the marina for Magic Kingdom boat launch, the store and Pioneer Hall to see the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.  We couldn't have driven to any of those locations in our vehicle.  I hope that helps!  And please don't hesitate to follow up with me if I can answer any further Fort Wilderness questions!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
