We are going next June and planned on eating at Boma. I heard about the story telling at AKL, sounds like a fun thing to do. What time and where does the story time happen? What time should I schedule our dinner? Thanks so much in advance!!!!

    Hi Linnea!

You have picked two of my family's favorites! Boma - Flavors of Africa and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL)! Read more about dining at Boma HERE. Indeed one of the many activities you will find at AKL is listening to African Folktales. You can simply find a seat around the Arusha Rock Fire Pit Overlook and enjoy the amazing storytelling experience. If there is inclement weather, the storytelling will be held inside in the lobby around Ogun's Fire Pit. During the Summer months, this activity typically takes place nightly at 6:30 p.m. It usually lasts about twenty minutes. I would plan on making your Boma reservation accordingly. If your family prefers to dine early, I would suggest making a reservation no later than 4:45 p.m.. If you would rather eat a late supper, then book your reservation after 7:00 p.m., preferably closer to 7:30 p.m. This will allow you to spend some time speaking with the storytellers and/or enjoying some animal viewing at the Sunset Savanna Overlook.
