On my next Disney trip, my family and I would like to stay in a concierge room at the animal kindom lodge. With the food and snacks you get in this type of room, is it still advisable to get a dining plan?

    Hi Bill,

My family stayed in a guest room on the concierge level of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge this past March.  It was a fabulous experience.  Just wait until you see the magnificent view of the lobby of Jambo House that you will enjoy from the concierge lounge at this resort!

While Cast Members bring delectable goodies to the concierge lounge at various times throughout the day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, in my opinion I don't think that the amount and type of food served here eliminate the usefulness of a Disney Dining Plan.  Personally, I wouldn't choose the Deluxe Dining Plan if my family were staying in a concierge room.  That's just too much food for any of us to eat.  However, the Quick Service Dining Plan or regular Disney Dining Plan might be just the right complement to the treats served periodically in the concierge lounge.

Wishing you a magical stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge!
