Next counter service meal recommendation, please. Father/Daughter HS Graduation Celebration trip. Counter service for an early, lite lunch at the Magic Kingdom, since we have dinner at 'Ohana and then the dessert party.

Hi there, Douglas, and welcome to planDisney.

I must say, this question has me smiling from Mickey ear to Mickey ear. What a magical trip you have planned! It sounds like your daughter has a dad who truly treasures her! How special! As a mom of adult children, I understand how quickly time flies—one moment, they're hugging Mickey Mouse for the first time, and then, in the blink of Mike Wazowski's eye, they're off to Monsters University. I'm honored to help you with your special graduation celebration in The Most Magical Place on Earth! So, if you don't mind, let me give you a few options.

My first suggestion is Gaston's Tavern! Gaston may be a bit of a brute with antlers in all of his decorating, but if you're looking for a meal on the lighter side, I recommend the Ham and Gruyère Tart. It's delicious; the dough is surprisingly light but oh-so-filling at the same time. It will definitely tide you over until your dinner at 'Ohana. And what a perfect spot to share in a non-alcoholic LeFou's Brew with your daughter and toast her fantastic accomplishment! This restaurant is also an excellent spot if you are looking to dine before lunchtime.

My next suggestion holds a bit of nostalgia for me. Growing up, I remember watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Big Red Machine on television with my dad, so a quick-service restaurant that pays homage to America's favorite pastime—baseball—would be a fun choice! On the menu at Casey's Corner, you'll find corn dogs and hot dogs, but if you're looking for something lighter, they also offer delicious Chipotle Barbecue Loaded Fries that are big enough to share so as not to eat too much. To complete the meal, add a Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade, making this dining experience a real home run!

My final suggestion may not focus solely on the food but instead on the special father-daughter moment at the end of your meal. The Pinocchio Village Haus, located in the heart of Fantasyland, offers classic chicken strips, flatbread pizzas, and large salads that are perfect for sharing, making it a great option for a lighter meal. However, it's the unique experience that truly makes this a favorite choice. Inside the restaurant, you'll find the Blue Fairy Wish Book next to a glowing blue window. Guests are invited to write down their wishes and heartfelt desires for the Blue Fairy to grant. I can't think of a better place to share a wish with your daughter as she heads into the world after high school. I hope that years after your trip, your daughter can look through the Wish Book and find your special message to remember this magical trip!

Douglas, I hope this helps you plan your upcoming vacation. It sounds like you have the perfect day planned with an 'Ohana dinner followed by an enchanting dessert party. I'm sending all the planDisney pixie dust on your upcoming trip. Stop by anytime--we love helping you plan your unique, magical moments!

Best wishes to your daughter, and congratulations to your family,
    Shonette
