Hello: Next April we will be bringing our granddaughter, age 6, to her first experience of Disney World. Her birthday is on the 28th and we would like to do something special to celebrate the day such as a special dinner. What are our options?

    Hi, Shirley!

I just love when grandparents get to tour Walt Disney World with their grandchildren...especially when it's the first trip for the little ones!

Take a look at some of the suggestions I just made for another Guest who is bringing her daughter to WDW for her birthday as well. I listed some really special ways to celebrate a birthday in Walt Disney World. Your little princess might really enjoy a meal with the Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table, too; can you imagine the look on her face when you tell her she'll be dining in Cinderella Castle?

In addition, you might want to consider pre-ordering Disney PhotoPass+ so that you can capture some favorite moments in pictures for future enjoyment. (I'll bet you'll have LOTS of those!)

No matter what, be sure that you all stop and pose for lots of photos in front of gorgeous Walt Disney World icons; your little princess's first visit is truly special, and she'll never be this age again.

Have a wonderful time planning this most special trip, Shirley; be sure to send more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
