Is there any news on the Disney Dining Plans coming back this year? We will be in Disney for Christmas, and we are hoping to be able to purchase a meal plan.

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Kyle. Thanks for dropping by with your question!

You are going to love vacationing at Walt Disney World over Christmas. My family and I have been spending Christmas at Walt Disney World for over 10 years and it is so magical. The Walt Disney World Theme Parks are dressed up in their holiday best and it's so festive and fun.

As of right now, Kyle, we don't have any updates on when the Disney Dining Plan might return. We do know that there are plans of bringing it back. The Disney Parks Blog released an article several months back letting us know they've heard all of the love and support for the Disney Dining Plan and they had every intention of bringing it back. At that time they just weren't sure of a certain timeframe. That's kind of the last update that we've had. However, I've noticed more and more of the Walt Disney World restaurants opening back up which definitely is a step in the right direction. If the Disney Dining Plan does make its comeback before your vacation later this year, you'll most certainly be able to add it on to your vacation package at that time.

Kyle, vacationing at Walt Disney World over Christmas day for so many years, I've picked up a few tips and tricks. I won't sugar coat it, Christmas day is busy. Oftentimes, Magic Kingdom Park will fill up to capacity in the morning by about 11:00 a.m. If you are planning on visiting the theme parks that day, I recommend arriving early. I try to be on the first bus over to the theme parks in the morning and just wait in line unit it opens. We've had the best mornings arriving early. You'll be able to get that iconic Christmas morning shot in front of the Cinderella Castle without a lot of people in the background and you'll be able to cross off a few of your must-experience attractions without a long wait time. Arriving early that morning is going to set you up for success!

I hope this helps, Kyle. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help.

    Happy holidays!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
