Newly single mom taking the kids (10 and 7) on our first big trip alone. I have pre-purchased some "Tinker Bell" gifts to put out for them each day. Is it ok to ask the cleaning staff to put them out? Or is that too much?

    Hi Kathleen,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.  I am sure that you and your children will have a wonderful time on your trip to Walt Disney World.  How thoughtful of you to already have some gifts ready for them!  That will really add some pixie dust to their days.

To my knowledge, setting out gifts for guests is outside of the work that housekeeping cast members at Walt Disney World will typically do.  Perhaps you can set out these gifts once your children are asleep for them to find each morning.

Another option is to contact Disney Floral and Gifts.  They can arrange for many personalized gifts and in-room celebrations, purchased through them, to be delivered to your resort room.  While these can get pricey, there is a range of prices for the gifts.  If cost is a concern, perhaps you could choose a few small items - a few balloons or small snacks or treats - to be delivered sometime during your vacation.  If you did this one day right in the middle of your vacation, it might keep the mystery alive as to who is actually putting out the gifts!  If this idea is appealing to you, I suggest that you contact a Dream Maker at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438) to customize your gifts.

I hope that these thought are helpful for you, Kathleen!  I want to thank my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Juliette for her thoughts on this answer.  Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
