Hello, Daniel!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks so much for sending us your question. Have you heard the magical news? Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are
set to reopen April 30, 2021!
While I don’t have firsthand experience with military identification cards or the Disabled Veteran Permanent (DAVPRM) code used in the past to prove eligibility for discounted theme park tickets and
hotel accommodations, I am aware that the Department of Defense began issuing a new card design recently. From what I understand, although the Next Generation Uniformed Services ID card may not look the same as the previous version, it does not function differently or change who is eligible to receive the current card and the privileges they’re entitled to.
I would expect that this card will still be an acceptable form of identification to prove eligibility for special offers and discounts available to members of the military. That said, with the
Disneyland Resort theme parks currently closed and ticket sales paused, I can’t guarantee the same offer available previously will immediately resume upon theme park reopening. Please check the
Offers & Discounts page on Disneyland.com for the most up-to-date information on what’s available to you.
I hope this helps, Daniel, and that you’re able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth soon! Please stop by
planDisney again with any other questions you might have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
