Does the newest Star Wars ride Rise of the resistance (?) have a single rider line?

    Hi Kim!

Thanks for reaching out to the Moms Panel.

The Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios is simply mind-blowing! My family and I were fortunate to experience the attraction just last week, and it was indeed everything we'd ever hoped!

Here is what I can tell you about the attraction:

*At this time, there aren't any single rider lines.

*The only way to experience the attraction is by Joining a Boarding Group, and the best way to do this is via the My Disney Experience mobile app. Tip: You must be on Disney Hollywood Studios' premises to join a boarding group. We tried to do it from our resort hotel room before arriving at the theme park, and it wouldn't let us.

*You can't join a boarding group during Morning Extra Magic Hours. You can only join during regular park hours (at least at this writing). We tried at 9:10AM the morning we were there (regular park opening hours was 9AM), and was assigned Group 105.

*Being assigned a Boarding Group does not guarantee you'll actually get on the attraction. You just have to join and hope your number gets called. We joined at 9:10AM and our Group Number (thankfully) was called around 3:15PM that same afternoon. BIG TIP: Once your Group Number is called, you have exactly 2 hours from the moment your group is called to check in to the attraction's entrance, or risk forfeiting getting on the ride. We had left the park at the time our number was called, but fortunately had enough time to catch the bus and get back to Hollywood Studios with 40 minutes to spare.

The ride is one of the longest (and most amazing) in all of Disney! I will hold the details of the experience so that you're surprised just as we were. All I can say is the entire group on our ride were clapping and smiling when it was over! It's immersive and the entire experience is visually stunning.

May the Force Be With You!
