Newbie Floridian and Passholder- Need general vacation information about WDW, like what restaurants require reservations? Can we eat at Chef Mickeys without staying in the resort? Or, get a massage at Sarasota Springs?

    Hi Erica,

Guess what?  My family just moved to the Sunshine State too!  In fact, I'm so excited to say that I have my first-ever Florida Resident Annual Passes!  In general, I would recommend making advanced dining reservations for whatever table-service (sit-down) restaurants you are interested in visiting (this is especially true for character meals, such as Chef Mickey's).  This way, you are guaranteed a table with a minimal wait at the restaurants you most want to dine at.  It is certainly possible to walk up to restaurants, however, during peak times of the year, waits can be long and/or the restaurants can be at capacity.  You can dine anywhere at Walt Disney World without staying at a Disney Resort.  For restaurants located inside the theme parks, you will need a valid ticket to enter the respective parks (but you'll have that covered with your annual pass!)  You can also take advantage of the Spas at Disney without being a guest at a resort.  Again, I would recommend making reservations to ensure that your specific service and desired time are available.

Enjoy your annual pass and new home!
