Hello! I am a newbie to Disney & have a few questions. how long is the safari ride at Animal Kingdom last? we also have a tea party at 2p at the Grand Floridian Resort. was wondering how the transportation worked? how long do we need to leave in adv

    Hi Ashley,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Disney Parks! I hope that you, too, will fall in love with all of the magic and merriment that a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort offers. May this be the first of many memory filled visits for you.

The Kilimanjaro Safaris ride at Disney's Animal Kingdom is approximately 25 minutes long. The exact length of time can vary due to the fact that the animals could be crossing your path, and your safari vehicle may need to wait for them. In general though, you can plan on the ride itself lasting 25 minutes once you get through the queue. Keep in mind that even with a FastPass+ for a ride, you still need to wait in line. So you will want to plan accordingly if you are in a time crunch.

How fun that you will be enjoying an afternoon treat at the Garden View Tea Room at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you are heading to this Advanced Dining Reservation directly from the Animal Kingdom Park, I recommend that you plan to be at the bus stop no later than 1:00 pm. You will need to wait for a bus to arrive and that could take up to 20 minutes (depending on when the last one left).

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to send us a follow-up question.

    Wishing you magical memories,
