Hey Howdy Hey Hayley and welcome back to planDisney!
I am so excited to hear that you are thinking about a visit to the States and to central Florida to visit us at the
Walt Disney World Resort. While there is never a bad time to visit, I get that temperature and crowd levels are big factors for many when planning a trip. You've got a friend in me to give you a few tips on the "best" time to visit.
When it comes to central Florida, heat and humidity come with the territory! The farther into summer you get, typically June through August, the worse the heat and humidity. Of the months you have listed, I would say the April/May timeframe would be best to avoid the brunt of the heat and humidity that typically peaks in the July/August months. It will still be plenty warm just not as hot and humid as later months.
One tool that can help you out a ton to figure out which days/weeks to plan, is a Walt Disney World crowd calendar. If you do an internet search, you will get several to choose from. Typically I have used the one from Undercover Tourist in the past. It has been reliable and it's free! Using historical data and an overlay of the
Event Calendar at the resort, they will give you estimates of how busy the resort will be and a per-park recommendation of what to expect.
The beginning of April will still have many schools in the States on spring break and the crowd levels stay fairly consistent until Easter. The time between Easter and Memorial Day towards the end of May is typically a great time to visit. Most schools are finishing up the end of the year in early to mid-May, the weather is nice and rain chances are lower. This has always been a month we prefer our trips to take place for all those reasons and have had great experiences. Memorial Day is the official kickoff to the vacation season in the States so keep that in mind as well!
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your trip and I hope this information was helpful to give you some tips and resources to look into. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
