For New Year's Eve should we try to be at a restaurant Rose and Crown or Tokyo Dining or just be in World Showcase for the midnight fireworks? We don't want to have to wait hours for a good spot, but know there's no guarentee in a restaurant.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Philip! I know you’re excited to spend your New Year’s Eve in the Most Magical Place on Earth! There are several restaurants and places to stand in Epcot’s World Showcase that will give you a perfect view of IllumiNations or the special 11:40pm Countdown Fireworks.

I think Rose and Crown or my personal favorite, the Cantina or Hacienda de San Angel, would provide fabulous views since they are on the water’s edge. Of course all restaurants have interior seating, so there is no guarantee that you may have window or balcony to peek at the night sky lighting up.  Last November, the Disney Parks Blog released New Year’s Eve parties that guaranteed views and special offers, so be sure to subscribe to the blog for the latest updates and offerings. I’m sure this would fit the bill if something similar is offered for 2017.

I hope you have occasion to satisfy the Pooh Bear “rumbly in your tumbly” but the desire to see the water and fireworks as 2018 approaches. Please return to the panel if you have any other vacation questions! 3… 2… 1… Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! ~ Lindsey P.
