Hello Mia! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
It sounds like you have a magical day planned to start your 2019 in style. The good news is that all of your planning should ensure that your Disney day goes off without a hitch.
While all of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks have closed due to capacity at some point in the past, your plans make it highly unlikely that you will not be able to experience one of
Epcot's fabulous Dining Locations and
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth that night.
Even when one of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks begins to reach capacity, it begins limiting Guests entry to the Theme Park in phases. Guests with Advanced Dining Reservations have priority entry up until the final phase before the Main Gates are completely shut off to any more Guests. If this occurs, find a Cast Member and let them know of your Advanced Dining Reservations. You will be provided priority access to Epcot as long as the Theme Park has not reached maximum capacity.
Epcot is the least likely Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park to close due to its size and has not reached the point of maximum capacity in the past few years.
If you are traveling with little ones, be sure to check out the
updated souvenirs at the Kidcot Fun Stops. My kids love meeting the Cast Members from the various countries around World Showcase and the task to "collect them all" while we journey around Epcot.
Have a Happy New Year!
~Todd
