Hiya, Emily! Thanks so much for making a return trip to planDisney--it's great to see you again. As a big fan of
Pin Trading myself, I'm happy to share some tips for tracking down special pins all around
Walt Disney World Resort to make your collection complete.
Pin trading is one of those extra touches of magic that makes Walt Disney World so special. My girls have been avid traders since they were young, and the interactions with patient and kind Cast Members and fellow Guests helped them gain confidence and experience speaking with new people. It's also a great exercise in persistence when you're trying to find a certain pin to complete a set. We have several pin boards at home featuring their favorites from over the years--many that they've traded for, and some that we've purchased to commemorate a special occasion or milestone.
Emily, as you've likely discovered, most Disney
Resort Hotels have a pin board available for trading at the Front Desk, shops, and any
Disney Vacation Club desks. However, not all of them are on display, so I always recommend asking the Cast Members if there are any pins you can check out. The theme parks are of course a prime location for finding pins, as most shops have a board. I've discovered that some attractions also have their own pin boards--most of these are
not out where you would see them, so again I recommend politely asking the Cast Members if they have any hidden treasures you can peruse!
I would say we've had our best pin trading success at the following spots, both with Cast Members and other Guests:
Cast Members are now allowed to trade from lanyards again, so I recommend keeping an eye out wherever you're out and about as you may spy someone with a coveted pin really anywhere in the parks, the resorts, or Disney Springs!
I hope this information is helpful for your pin purposes, Emily! Thanks again for coming back to see us at planDisney, and please reach out anytime if we can help with any other questions.
Happy Trading!
Susan
