I am new to all of this and am wondering if there is a way to plan a visit through a program. We are staying off site and will visit Disney for 3 or 4 days but I have no idea where to start.

    Hi Chantale!

You've started at the perfect place because each of us here at Disney Parks Moms Panel is happy to help you plan your most magical Walt Disney World vacation.

I like to encourage new Guests to take a Hakuna Matata, no worries, problem-free philosophy to planning their trip to Walt Disney World.

First, check out the Disney Vacation Planning Videos. These videos give a fun overview of Walt Disney World, its 4 theme parks, water parks, and resort hotels. You can select the areas you want to learn more about and watch the video guides at your convenience. Now, as you're watching the videos, just imagine your own family riding the attractions, hanging with favorite Disney friends, and making all the magic your very own.

Next, check out the Vacation Ideas tool. Simply follow the few quick questions about your vacation style and interests, and you'll see customized recommendations that cover all you need to get started — resort hotels, theme park tickets, attractions, and dining. Even if you already have some of your plans in place, the personalized information is a great way to get vacation ideas that best fit your interests.

The key parts of your plan include where you're staying and how many days you're planning to visit, and it sounds like you have those pieces planned already, so you're off to a great start. Next up is to purchase your theme park tickets. After that, you'll want to make any Advanced Dining Reservations starting at 180 days prior to your arrival, and make any FastPass+ selections at 30 days prior to your arrival.

Chantale, I invite you to come back to Disney Parks Moms Panel with more questions as they come to you. (And more questions will come to you!)

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
