Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jamie Lee. I'm glad you stopped by!
My family made our first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort as a new party of five last summer. It didn't take long for my husband and me to realize there were a few logistics we had to work out now that we're outnumbered! Our youngest is just an infant, so we would tag team with our two older kids for attractions our little one was just
too little for. Disney's
Rider Switch came in handy quite a few times!
We were pleasantly surprised, though, by how many attractions we could enjoy together as a family. There are over 100
attractions that are family-friendly, meaning they're perfect for all ages. Many, like "it's a small world" and Kilimanjaro Safaris, feature bench seating which can accommodate your party of five in just one row. Other attractions, like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Journey Into Imagination With Figment, have car-like seating with a front and back row. Your family of five can be accommodated in one car with two in one row and three in the other. Whether it's a pirate galleon on Peter Pan's Flight, a doom buggy on Haunted Mansion, or a clamshell on Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, attractions with cart seating can usually only accommodate two adults and two children together at
most. In those instances, my husband and I would take turns, making sure that when we grouped as a party of two and a party of three that the kids were getting equal chances to sit with mom and dad.
I hope this was helpful, Jamie Lee. Please let me know if you have any other questions about traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with little ones in tow!
