Hiya Tracyann,
Welcome to planDisney! We are so excited to help you plan your upcoming vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I know that some of the recent changes have left a few questions up in the air, but I’m happy to help clarify where I can.
I’m not 100% sure what you are asking, Tracyann. Recently,
Disney Springs updated its transportation policy, which applies only to transportation to Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels from Disney Springs at this time. The current guidance we have received is that in order to board a
bus or the
Sassagoula River Cruise, you will need a Disney Resort hotel or dining reservation for the resort you are traveling to. So if you are staying at one of the
Good Neighbor Hotels and plan to visit a Walt Disney World Resort hotel via Disney Springs, you will need a confirmed dining reservation to board the bus or boat to that resort hotel. If you are asking whether the same guidelines will apply to travel from Disney Springs to, say, the Walt Disney Swan Hotel, I was not able to confirm that guidance at this time, but I recommend checking in with Cast Members at Disney Springs when you arrive. Things are always subject to change, and there is quite a bit of time between now and March, so the guidance may extend to transportation to Good Neighbor Hotels.
I hope this was helpful, Tracyann. If I didn’t quite answer your question, please come back and see us. The official transportation policy won’t go into effect until this Sunday, June 28th, and I’m sure it will continue to evolve in the coming days. We are always happy to chat through changes and any future updates with you and provide clarity where we can.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
