Hi Tasha!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for sending this great
Disneyland Resort planning question to us hEAR. I'm happy to be your planEAR today!
My kindergartner will gladly tell you that the
parking lot tram is one of his favorite attractions at Disneyland, and in a lot of ways it kind of is like the first ride of the day. I, however, especially love it at the end of the day when we're tired and neither of us wants to walk one more step. I'm happy to report that the
parking structure trams are the same vehicles as before the shutdown and that yes, each individual tram has at least one car that is meant to hold a wheelchair. These cars can hold two or three chairs (depending on their size) and the rider can stay in place. There's a ramp to access this riding bay on both the load and unload sides of the "ride" to and from the park and plenty of extra seats should you have family members or friends also wanting to stay with you.
There's also a mini-bus called the Mickey Van meant to hold even more wheelchairs or help those friends who need a bit more time. This bus also departs from the same loading area of the secure side of the Pixar Pals parking garage. To access this handy ride, you'll use the crosswalk that starts at the tram loading area and leads to the back wall full of character silhouettes. I've ridden on the bus with
my dear friend and fellow panelist Kristin C. and her mother once, and it's the same as the tram, where wheel-riders can have a few family members or friends accompany them on the joyous journey.
Bonus Tip: Have you hEARd, Tasha, that guests can now request pre-register for
