Hi Dan,
Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with your question. I’m thrilled you found this little corner of the Disney internet, where Guests like you can get thoughtful answers to your most important vacation planning questions, straight from people who love talking Disney just as much as you do.
As you may have heard,
Test Track has just undergone an exciting transformation. While I haven’t had the chance to experience the new version just yet, a few of my
planDisney Sweet 16 classmates have given it glowing reviews. They said it’s a fantastic update that pays tribute to World of Motion, the original pavilion that once stood in that very spot.
Regarding the GM VIP lounge. I spoke with two different Cast Members on your behalf, and while both were incredibly helpful, neither was able to confirm whether the lounge will be returning with the reimagined attraction. It sounds like the best course of action might be to inquire during your visit to see if access is still being offered to eligible GM employees or to contact GM directly to see if they could provide an update.
That said, Dan, EPCOT has no shortage of great places to relax and refuel. I’d recommend a stop at
La Cava del Tequila inside the Mexico Pavilion for one of their handcrafted margaritas. If you’re continuing your tour around World Showcase, the
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway serves a Kristoff Kaffe that’s a sweet pick-me-up. And over in France, the Citron Slush from
Les Vins des Chefs de France is always a refreshing choice on a warm day. I haven’t had the chance to visit it just yet, but I’ve also heard some buzz about the new
GEO-82 lounge at the base of Spaceship Earth. Sounds like it might be an out-of-this-world place to cool off.
If you think of anything else or want help mapping out more EPCOT favorites,
I’d be happy to help you plan your day around the park!
See you real soon,
Brent
