Latrecia from GA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

With all the new systems in place, is there still a DAS pass for someone with claustrophobia? Wanting to plan another trip but need to know if this will be available.

Hi there, Latrecia - welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad that you found us and decided to stop by with your question for our team of panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations!

You're certainly correct when you mentioned that there are a lot of new and exciting changes at Walt Disney World Resort. You'll be visiting during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, full of exciting new attractions and experiences, entertainment, food, and so much more!

Walt Disney World is a place where all Guests can make magical memories, and to ensure that, there are several offerings in place to help Guests who may need special accommodations throughout their visit. The Disability Access Service (DAS) is one such offering designed to help Guests who have difficulty spending time in the standard attraction queues. Once registered for DAS, you will be able to use the My Disney Experience Mobile App while inside a Theme Park to select an attraction you'd like to experience. The app will provide you with a return time, and at that time you'll simply return to the attraction where you'll be able to use the Lightning Lane for a reduced wait. This allows you to spend the time you'd normally wait in the standby queue in a location that is more comfortable for you. Once you experience the attraction, you can use the app to select another and receive a new return time. The great news is that you can also have up to five other Guests join you!

You have two options to register for DAS. Guests located in the U.S. have the option of pre-registering for DAS online using a video chat with a Cast Member. While there can be some time spent waiting in a queue for the video chat, this is a new way to have your DAS set up before you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. Alternatively, you can also register for DAS at a Guest Relations location inside any of the four Theme Parks.

If you pre-register online you'll be able to schedule two DAS Advance selections per day - these allow you to visit the selected attractions during a one-hour time window, and are in addition to the return times you will be selecting for attractions throughout the day! You can pre-register online up to 30 days prior to arrival, but need to do so at least two days before arrival to be eligible for the DAS Advance selections. If you register in person and have a longer trip, you'll also be able to make DAS Advance selections for park days that are two or more days following registration.

If you have any difficulty registering or using the system within the app, you can always stop and ask any Cast Member for assistance. I usually like to stop by the Guest Experience Team umbrellas located throughout the Theme Parks - they can get the magic back on track!

I hope this information is helpful as you plan your upcoming trip - let me know if any other questions pop up!
