I am new to this site. My family and I are going to disney and i am 43 years old and it's my first time. Do you have any tips?

    Hi Jim,

First of all, congratulations on planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! I am so honored to be able to help you plan your magical adventure.  I will warn you though, Disney vacations are very habit forming and the only remedy seems to be to plan another trip. Seriously though, they truly are wonderful and you will be left yearning to return.

We brought my mother-in-law on her very first Walt Disney World vacation a couple of years ago and she adored it.  I will say she was hesitant at first, feeling a bit overwhelmed and not knowing what to expect, but Disney really does appeal to everyone's style.  Without knowing a little about you and how you would spend your ideal vacation it is hard to make recommendations, but I will give you my favorite and a few great places to look for some fun ideas.

My personal favorite is Epcot.  I love all the adventures and activities this park has to offer.  It is really almost like two parks in one.  The World Showcase offers food, drinks, music, fun and educational experiences and attractions from around the world, while Future World offers technological innovations, thrill rides, and even a massive saltwater aquarium! There is so much to offer at Epcot and it is all absolutely thrilling.  During your stay Epcot will also be showcasing the International Flower & Garden Festival.  This fun event has wonderful topiary displays, even more delightful food options and an outdoor concert series.

I would love to continue helping you plan your first visit, Jim, so please come back and let me know a little more about what your fairy-tale vacation includes.  Until then, have fun browsing through the Walt Disney World website for ideas in planning your exciting trip.

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
