I am new to running and really wanted to do the Princess Half Marathon in February. That date is just not going to work with out family this year. I was looking at the Half in January, but it doesn't look nearly as fun. Is it just as fun and lively?

    Hi there!

I am sorry that the dates aren't working for you for the Princess.  However, I can honestly say that the half marathon in January is ABSOLUTELY as much fun as the Princess.  It is themed a little differently.  The Princess is, of course, focused more on the Disney Princesses and all that goes along with that.

The half marathon during Disney World Marathon weekend is more classic Disney.  As much as I love the princesses, the classic Disney characters are still my favorites!  The princesses are definitely represented in the January half as well.  The course is almost identical, and the entertainment is top-notch for both.  There are characters, music, movies, etc. all along both courses.

I really think that you would love both races.  You should do the half in January this year, and then go for the 2014 Princess!  Then you can compare them to see which you like best!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!!
