Hello, Sharon,
Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Would you believe I just returned from visiting
Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. It is beyond imagination! In fact, I would describe the theming and landscaping as another new attraction as it is that amazing. When you visit the
Valley of Mo'ara, you'll want to take the time to slow down and do some exploring during the day and night (it takes on a completely new look at night).
There are two new attractions:
Avatar Flight of Passage and the
Na'vi River Journey. Avatar Flight of Passage is not a roller coaster, but it is a thrill ride so guests need to be at least 44 inches or taller to ride. The ride creates the feeling as if you are flying on a banshee (a dragon-like creature from the movie
Avatar) so you will feel as if you are swooping, diving, and gliding. You will also wear special 3-D glasses during the attraction. I often avoid roller coasters, but I would return to ride this without hesitation. The Na'vi River Journey is a calm and gentle ride for the entire family with no height requirement.
Wishing you a magical trip. Please let us know if we can help with any further questions. -
Kara
