Hi Samantha, and welcome back to planDisney! It's great to know you are planning a visit to
Walt Disney World!
Looks like you've heard the exciting news. Starting January 9, 2024, you won't need to worry about making theme park reservations for date-based tickets. How awesome is that? This new policy includes all Date-based 1-day tickets, Date-based multi-day tickets, and Vacation packages with date-based tickets.
Now, it's important to note that we are still required to have
Theme Park Reservations for other tickets, including Student group tickets, Sports and Convention tickets, Disney Military Salute Ticket, Annual Passes, and all other ticket types not listed here.
If you had a reservation for visits on or after January 9, 2024, your reservation has been automatically cancelled if you had a date-based ticket. You should have received an email from Disney notifying you of the cancellation, and you can also check your reservation status through your
My Disney Experience account.
Samantha, while I don't have access to the specifics of your ticket, I strongly suggest that you reach out to the friendly folks at the
Disney Reservation Center or give your trusty travel agent a call to confirm your ticket type. This will make your trip planning a breeze and allow you to focus on the critical parts, like deciding
which of the 200+ dining options you'll want to try out at the parks and resorts.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to
reach out directly to me anytime. It will be great to help you once again.
Cheers
Nilson
