Lights, Camera, Action, Anna! Here at planDisney, we are delighted to roll out the red carpet for you and answer all your questions about movie-watching at sea. Whether you’re eager to catch the latest film or curious about the 3-D experience, we’ve got you covered.
Watching a
movie at sea is absolutely magical! The ship’s top-notch theaters deliver the same movie-watching experience you’ll find on land. You can catch movies in both standard and 3-D formats. Showtimes are listed outside the movie theater and on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
When a new movie premieres, it’s usually featured in the
Walt Disney Theatre. Last year, I saw the premiere of “Wish” on the Disney Dream. The energy in the theater was electric. It was a truly unforgettable experience to see the latest Disney magic come to life right before our eyes! That movie was shown in standard format since it wasn’t released in 3-D. Since not all films come in 3-D, it’s always a fun surprise to see if the movie you’re excited about will be available in that format. If it is, you’ll pick up your 3-D glasses at the entrance to the theater.
For the full movie experience, you can pick up some popcorn and candy at
Preludes or the concession stand before settling into your seat. I like to pick up a soda from the
complimentary beverage station near the pools before showtime. There is a refillable popcorn bucket, which is a great deal and a fun souvenir!
Thank you for stopping by planDisney! Next time, if you share your sail date with us, we can tell you which movies Disney Cruise Line will show during your voyage. This way, you can plan ahead.
SEAS the adventure!
