Hello. With the new park reservations system, any idea how that will play a role in high peak days and park capacity (I.e. Christmas Day) ? For example, will people have more flexibility with leaving and re-entering the park if they have park reservations

Hello there, Carla! Welcome back to planDisney! Oh boy! The holidays are the most magical time at Disneyland Resort.

It sounds like you are familiar with the holiday season at the parks and that the days on and around Christmas are the most popular days at Disneyland Resort. With the reservation system in place, there is less worry about showing up for a Disneyland vacation and possibly being turned away from the park reaching capacity. However, it still could happen especially after 1:00 p.m. when park hopping begins and there will be people mixing into different parks than what the morning reservations were made for. So I would plan accordingly and try to stay in the parks if possible. I've found there are lots of great places to take breaks in the park. If you have littles, I love hopping on the Disneyland Railroad and taking a few laps around the parks which is a perfect opportunity to take a little snooze.

Be sure to check out the holiday offerings of decor and entertainment that have been announced already and keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more announcements as the dates get closer to November. I love spending a day enjoying Disney Festival of the Holidays with a Sip and Savor Pass. And don't forget about the attractions with overlays like Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it's a small world" Holiday.

Carla, thanks again for stopping by! Come back and see us if you have any other questions.
