Hi!!! We are new parents traveling to Disney for the first time. Are floating devices allowed in the pool. Can we bring our own water bottles into the park?

Hi Kaitlin! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Let's dive in and answer these great questions.

Congrats on the new addition to your family! It's so fun to include your baby in your plans, particularly the fun stuff like hitting the pool at your resort hotel. All of the Walt Disney World Resort pools have floatation devices for Guests' use, free of charge. You are also welcome to bring your own floaties for your baby from home if you choose.

As for bringing water, you have a green light on that as well. In fact, you can pretty much bring all your own snacks and drinks into the parks with you - which can be a great money saver if you're watching your budget. Check out this page with guidelines of what kinds of things you can and can't bring along.

I'm so excited for you to make new memories with your family, Kaitlin. Have a magical day, and a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
