How does the new opening at MK affect the extra magic hour that is provided to guests staying at a Disney Resort?

Greetings, Meg! I love taking advantage of the Extra Magic Hours; the best way to start my morning is with a few extra spins on the teacups!

I called to speak with a cast member, and I was told that with the new morning routine and the new welcome show, “Let The Magic Begin,” guests will be let in one hour before park opening, including on days that begin with Extra Magic Hours. For example, if Extra Magic Hours are from 8am-9am for Magic Kingdom Park, guests would be let in as early as 7am. You could grab a nice hot cup of coffee from the Main Street Bakery, or a new breakfast option from Casey’s Corner, while you peruse the wares in the Emporium. This is a great time to take in the sights and sounds of Main Street, U.S.A.

The welcome show, “Let The Magic Begin” will take place about 10 minutes before the park opens.  After the show concludes, you’ll be able to pass over to the “Lands” of the Magic Kingdom via the bridges and walkways to experience the rest of what the park has to offer. Enjoy your magical morning, and let me know if I can be of any more help to plan your vacation! ~Lindsey P.
