Welcome to planDisney, Nicole! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is such a dynamic new addition to the nighttime entertainment at
Magic Kingdom. It really makes the park come alive at night! I'm happy to let you know what to expect when it comes to this parade on your trip early next year, so let's jump right in.
I'm pleased to tell you that Disney Starlight will be running through January and February. Entertainment schedules are typically posted much closer to the actual dates, but based on current information and recent patterns, you can expect two performances most nights: one around 8:00 PM and a second around 10:00 PM. Those times are subject to change, so keep your plans flexible and check the
My Disney Experience app as your trip approaches for the exact showtime on your preferred dates.
I have a few friendly tips while you're planning! If you'd like a little more elbow room, the second parade tends to feel less crowded because many families head out after
Happily Ever After. If your crew can stay up, it's a wonderful time to watch. Unlike
Festival of Fantasy, Disney Starlight actually
starts on Main Street, U.S.A., so picking a spot near the front of the park can help you make a quick exit as soon as the parade ends. If you've booked an evening table-service meal, consider an earlier dinner so you're not rushing to your parade spot.
I also recommend giving yourself at least two opportunities to see the parade throughout your trip. If you try to catch it early in the week when you first arrive, that means that you'll give yourself an option for a second time to see it, in case that unpredictable Florida weather puts a damper on your first try. Make sure to have your camera ready, because the illuminated floats make for gorgeous photos!
I hope this answers your question, Nicole, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
