For the new MultiPass system, it says it is available starting July 24. Is that the first day that passes can be purchased, or does the seven day window (I have a resort reservation) mean I can purchase my MultiPass on July 19th (seven days in advance)?

Hey, howdy, hey, April! Thanks for coming to planDisney with your question today! Your upcoming visit falls right alongside the switch over from Disney Genie+ Service to the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so let's dive into all the magical details of this new system so you'll be ready to embrace the magic of shorter wait times, advance planning, and less early morning tasks!

Starting July 24, Lightning Lane Multi Pass will allow Guests who are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel to book advance Lightning Lane selections up to 7 days ahead of their check-in date for the duration of their visit (up to 14 days). No advance planning for this new system will be available prior to July 24, so because your check-in date is July 26, the earliest you will become eligible to make your three advance selections will be on July 24 at 7 AM EST.

The good news is that on July 24, you will be able to make purchases and selections for the entire length of your visit, including any Lightning Lane Single Pass purchases for select attractions not included with the Multi Pass directly in your My Disney Experience mobile app. To help prepare for your selections, I would encourage you to take a look at the attractions and experiences that are included in both passes. It's also important to note that Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT will have two groups of attractions; Guests will only be able to choose one attraction from the first group when making advance selections for these three theme parks. Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park will not have a grouping system in place.

April, I hope this helps you to feel confident as you navigate this new system during your vacation! I'm looking forward to less of an early morning to-do list and streamlining my other vacation plans with my advance selections under this new system. As you count down the days to your arrival at the Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to read up on the summer celebrations that you'll have a chance to experience while you're there! It's going to be a magical summer indeed!

    See you real soon,
    Alison
