With the new multi-pass lightning lane with park-hopper passes (staying at Disney resort): Can we start early entry at one park (eg Epcot) and pre-book all of our multi-pass lightning lane options for later in the day at another park (eg, Magic Kingdom)?

Welcome to planDisney, Amelia! Thanks for hopping by with your question today! With so many exciting attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows Guests to secure their place in line ahead of their arrival and cuts down the wait times on some of those more popular attractions! If you're planning to navigate Lightning Lane Multi Pass while using your Park Hopper benefits, you have a few options; so let's hop to it and get you all the information you need!

Option 1 - Yes, you can pre-book up to 3 attractions or experiences at any Theme Park and for any time of the day that works best with your vacation itinerary! So if you plan to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry (and I always do!), you can make your initial selections for later in the day at a different Theme Park. Just remember that you won't be eligible to make any additional Lightning Lane selections until you have redeemed at least one of your pre-booked selections.

Option 2 - You can make your initial selections at the first Theme Park you plan to visit for earlier in the day, and once you have redeemed your first selection, you will be eligible to make another selection at any Theme Park if you have Park Hopper tickets. My panelist pal Lizzie actually recently did this - she started her day at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park with a Lightning Lane for Kilimanjaro Safaris; once she redeemed that attraction, she was then able to select a Lightning Lane for later in the day at Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy Tiana's Bayou Adventure! Of course, attraction experiences are not guaranteed and subject to availability, so if you are hoping to secure Lightning Lanes for some of those most popular attractions, Option 1 is a little less risky.

One last tip I'll share that I hope will help you maximize your use of the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass system while park-hopping - remember that you can always modify your selections in the My Disney Experience app if your plans change or your times need to be adjusted based on your hopping itinerary.

Amelia, I hope this has been helpful and I'm wishing you all the magical experiences with Lightning Lane Multi Pass! If you have any other planning questions, come on back and let us know!

    Happy Hopping,
    Alison
