Hi there, Eric, and welcome to planDisney!
Super planners from far and wide are rejoicing to finally have the opportunity to book Lightning Lanes for Disney Parks adventures in advance. It seems like your time to book your experience selections for
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Lightning Lane Single Pass is coming up soon. Remember, if you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or another eligible hotel, you can make your purchase and selections up to 7 days before you arrive. Staying off-property? Booking 3 days ahead is practically perfect, too.
You will be happy to hear that
Rider Switch Service remains a super useful option for Guests of Mickey! This service has always been a vacation lifesaver for my family, so I’m glad that it’s still going strong. As you may know, you can set up Rider Switch Service by seeing a friendly Cast Member with a tablet near the entrance of an attraction. If you weren’t using Lightning Lane, the first riding group would wait in standby and the second group would go through Lightning Lane. However, if you all have Lightning Lane Multi Pass and/or Single Pass, both groups will go through the faster queue.
AN EXTRA GEM: I recommend that the adult who is waiting with the non-rider keeps the magic going by experiencing a nearby attraction. I call this the “divide-and-conquer” strategy. For example, while my older kiddo rides
Slinky Dog Dash with me, my husband rides Alien Swirling Saucers with our younger kiddo before my husband switches with me.
Eric, if you have any other Disney vacation planning questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney. We would love to share more of our tips and tricks with you.
Magic always,
LeAndra
