With the new Magic Kingdom opening in front of the castle, what time will the show happen if the park hours are 8 am- 12 am, with Extra Magic Hours from 7:00 am- 8:00 am? Will the show be at 7:00 or 8:00 am?

Hello Tom! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The new Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show is a great way to kick start your adventure at Magic Kingdom.

While I will miss the sight of Mickey and the Gang rounding the bend in the Walt Disney World Railroad to start my day, the added benefit of early shopping, strolling through Main Street, U.S.A and the ever-so-essential Starbucks coffee at Main Street Bakery before the official park opening sounds like an Endlessly Magical experience I am eager to try.

The Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show begins roughly 5 minutes before the scheduled Magic Kingdom opening.  This does not include the Extra Magic Hours afforded to Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests as a benefit of staying on property. This means that with an opening for 8:00 am, Let the Magic Begin will begin at roughly 7:55 am.

Main Street, U.S.A will be open at least 25-30 minutes before the show to all Guests. With Extra Magic Hours, Walt Disney World Resort Guests will gain access to Magic Kingdom at 7 am to enjoy various attractions and experiences and I would think that with Magic Kingdom open so early, off-property Guests may get in even earlier as well.

Guests not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort property will not be allowed to partake in the attractions and entertainment offered to Resort Hotel Guests for Extra Magic Hours.

    Have a Magical Morning!
