With the new magic bands, do they still require a finger print when entering the parks to identify you as the ticket holder?

    Hi Kimberly,

Yes, the new Magic Band technology still includes a finger scan at the entry to the park to verify the identity of the user. You tap your band to the sensor, then place your finger on a scanner. It's all very quick and easy.

I've had the opportunity to use Magic Bands on three visits so far. Everyone in my family thinks the bands are a great innovation and are easier to use than the old tickets. We enjoy having tickets, reservations, charging privileges and FastPasses all in one convenient location.

Please let us know if you have any other questions about Magic Bands or other aspects of the Walt Disney World experience. We are happy to be able to help!
