Is the new Lightning McQueen show at Hollywood Studios inside?

Ka-Chow, Eileen! Thanks for making a pit stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Let's get ready to catch Lightning McQueen in action at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

Lightning and his pals from Radiator Springs are gearing up for Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, a new show set to race into Walt Disney World before you can say "Piston Cup!" We're big fans of the Disney-Pixar Cars movies around these parts, so I'm excited to see Lightning demonstrate his winning form.

According to the information Disney has released, this high-octane new show will take place inside a theater, where Lightning will take center stage and show the audience his signature moves with the help of a giant wraparound screen. It sounds like an incredible, immersive experience that will be fun for rookie drivers of all ages!

Eileen, if you have young Lightning fans in your family, you might also want to check out the Disney Junior Dance Party just around the corner in the Animation Courtyard. Our Disney Junior pals come out to dance with Guests, and your racing fans may get a kick out of Mickey Mouse speeding to the party in his Roadster Racers gear!

I hope this helps you rev up your Walt Disney World vacation plans, Eileen. Race on in to see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
