The new ID cards donot have DAVPRM printed on them. It only says 100 % Disabled American Veteran. However I do have paperwork with Permanent and total. Do you get the discount with the new cards.

Welcome to planDisney, Linda, and thank you for your service. Mickey and I salute you and your family, and since my husband was in the military for a time, I understand your sacrifices. I love that Walt Disney World Resort honors our military by providing special offers and discounts, so let's ensure you can take advantage of those discounts on your upcoming trip.

Shades of Green is the resort that specializes in our military guests, so I gave them a call. The friendly Cast Member I spoke to said your new military ID card would be accepted to receive the military discount on Theme Park Tickets and for stays at Shades of Green. I'd bring the ID card and the paperwork you mentioned, just in case. It's better to have too much documentation than not enough!

Because these military IDs are a new format, I suggest you confirm with Shades of Green before your trip. And did you know you can purchase Theme Park Tickets through Shades of Green? If you bought Theme Park Tickets at your local military base, you would activate those at Guest Relations by showing your military ID. If you have specific questions about Theme Park Tickets, please call the New or Existing Tickets line, and a Cast Member will be honored to help you.

Your visit falls during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, Linda, so I hope you check out the Global Marketplaces around World Showcase. Look for food trucks where you can sample cuisines from many countries. My husband and I enjoy live music and look forward to the Eat to the Beat Concert Series during this festival.

Linda, I'm sending pixie dust, stars, and stripes that your upcoming visit is positively patriotic and fun. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
